Advanced electrolysis is a precise treatment that uses a controlled thermolysis current, delivered through a tiny super-fine probe, to safely remove or cauterise unwanted skin blemishes. It is highly effective for treating a wide range of vascular and surface-level skin concerns, with results often visible immediately.

Appointments are booked in 30 to 60-minute time slots depending on the number of blemishes you wish to treat. What can be treated?

Broken facial capillaries, thread veins, cherry angiomas, and spider naevus.
Milia, skin tags, sebaceous cysts, seborrheic keratosis, warts, verrucas, and xanthoma.
Please note: For mole reduction or removal, if you haven’t already had written confirmation from your GP or a dermatologist that the mole is benign, we will need to use ‘Map My Mole’ and submit an image in clinic before proceeding.

What is the process?

If required, you are thoroughly numbed. I then clean the blemish and take photographs before we begin.
You lay back and relax while I treat the blemish. Most blemishes take seconds; larger ones can take a few minutes.
You leave with full aftercare advice. In some cases, depending on the blemish, a review appointment six weeks later may be recommended.
A micro scab will seal over the area. This is completely normal — your body is healing a tiny wound.
The micro scab will start exfoliating naturally around days 7 to 10. During this time, you must avoid exposing the area to heat and direct sun. Factor 50 is a must — we have temporarily compromised the skin barrier.
